Retreat Host & Guide I Founder of Cristina Dionísio Yoga
After two decades in the corporate world, my body began saying what my heart had long known: this wasn’t the life I was meant to live. Burnout, pressure, anxiety — it all reached a breaking point. That’s when yoga became more than a practice for me. It became a path.
Not the performance-driven kind, but the kind that teaches you to stay when it’s hard, to breathe when everything feels too much, and to make choices that truly feel yours.
Since my mid-30s, I’ve been walking this path — through healing, reinvention, and the joy of living with purpose. And now, I share it with others through retreats, online programs, and weekly classes that bring together my biggest passions: yoga as a way of living, and my deep love for travel, nature, people, culture, and food.
My retreats aren’t escapes. They’re invitations. To pause, to breathe, and to start living in a way that reflects who you are becoming — journeys not just to beautiful places, but into presence, silence, and yourself.

Somatic Therapist
Certified Massage Therapist, Holistic Practitioner & Well-being Facilitator
Carla helps people reconnect with their bodies through conscious touch, movement, emotional awareness, and simple self-care rituals. With a background in Psychology, Thai Massage training (in Thailand), and ongoing studies in Somatic Experiencing, she brings a grounded and nurturing presence to each retreat.
She offers individual massages and group workshops in self-massage and lymphatic activation - creating space to pause, release tension, and connect with the body. Carla also brings the fluidity and freedom of surfing into her approach, inspiring a natural balance between movement, rest, and emotional flow.
Sara Cipriano
Client Care Manager
Sara offers structured and reliable support to businesses, combining clear communication with thoughtful client care and strong organizational skills.
Her role focuses on managing administrative tasks, handling client interactions with empathy and professionalism, and streamlining internal processes to ensure everything flows smoothly. With a calm and attentive presence behind the scenes, Sara helps businesses stay organized, respond with care, and create a more efficient and human working rhythm, where clients feel supported.
She is also the one ensuring that every participant is cared for from the very first contact until the end of the journey. From the places we stay to the general organization, so others can simply be present.
Rita Serra
Social Media Manager
Rita Serra is a social media manager who tells stories through images, videos, and words.
With both an intuitive and strategic eye, she turns real experiences - like retreats and classes - into content that lives far beyond the moment. She captures what can’t be staged: the honesty of a smile, the stillness of a gesture, the connection between people.
Beyond capturing moments, Rita also plans, creates, and curates the digital presence of soulful brands and projects, ensuring that what’s lived in the real world is reflected clearly and consistently online. She approaches communication with intention - always focused on creating content that is meaningful, genuine, and aligned with the essence of each experience.

Yes. The retreat takes place in Vilankulos, a peaceful coastal area far from any regions with political tension. It’s a calm, welcoming town that depends on tourism and has hosted countless retreats and international visitors safely — including more than 20 retreats led by me over the past 6 years.

We understand the concern. However, the southern region where the retreat is held is stable and safe for travellers. We stay informed through local contacts and international updates, and would never host a retreat in an area that wasn’t completely secure.
You’ll be supported from arrival to departure.

If you don’t have a travel companion, we’ll do our best to pair you with another participant looking for a roommate. However, sometimes there is no one else, or in rare circumstances that person may cancel. If that is the case, we will charge you to a single occupancy rate. For this reason, we recommend booking a shared room with a companion.

Comfortable clothes that dry fast, sandals with traction or hiking shoes, swimwear, mosquito repellent, sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater, sunglasses, rain jacket (if desired) or umbrella, and an insulated reusable water bottle.

Yes! If you're travelling from far away and want to make the most of your trip, we can help. You’re welcome to extend your stay in Vilankulos, and we’re happy to assist with extra nights or help you plan time in other places like Tofo Beach, Maputo, or even Kruger Park in South Africa. Just let us know — we’ll support you in organising it.

Payment Options:
For bookings made until September 15th, you can opt for installment payments in either 2 or 3 parts. To secure your reservation, a 40% deposit is required at the time of booking. For more details on our installment plans, feel free to contact us at hello@cristinadionisio.yoga.

For cancelations made by the Organiser, full refund or a New Retreat date will be arranged;
Cancelations made by the Participant:
• 89 – 60 days prior to the retreat starting date: 25% of price will be retained.
• 59 - 30 days prior to the retreat starting date: 50% of price will be retained.
• 30 days or less prior to the retreat starting date: 100% of price will be retained.
If you need to cancel and have someone to replace you, that may be accepted.
No-shows or early departures: no refunds will be given.

You can fly form Johannesburg or from Maputo to Vilanculos. Transfer from the airport to the hotel is included.
