INITIATION: A Journey through the Sacred Lands of Peru & the Amazon
With Cristina Dionísio & Inácio Rozeira
August, 8th - 20th 2026
Alchemy in the Land of Pachamama
Once upon a time there was an empire that believed everything had a soul. The Incas carried this truth in every stone, every ritual, every sunrise. Peru still whispers that wisdom: here, the earth breathes, the sun consecrates, and the waters reflect who we are.
This journey is more than travel. It is freedom, adventure, solitude, and connection — a path where yoga becomes lived philosophy, and where the Andean spirit meets our own search for space, freedom and the pulse of life.
The Path of Initiation
August is the month of Pachamama, the time when offerings rise from the people to the Earth Mother, asking for balance, harvest, protection. To be in Peru in this sacred season is to walk inside an ancient prayer.
First, the forest. The Amazon is a living womb, humid and dense, where every tree rises like a temple column. Among communities who keep ancient rituals, we learn that the earth is not ours — we belong to her.
“…nothing belongs to us, we belong to the earth and the cosmos.”
Then, the mountains. In Cusco, navel of the Inca world, the stones of Pachacútec still resonate. And as we cross the Sun Gate in Machu Picchu, we repeat the gesture of the ancients: to ascend is not just physical effort, it is communion with Inti, the radiant sun that guides.
Finally, the waters. On Lake Titicaca, the highest in the world, the sky descends to meet the surface. Life floats between wind and silence. Sleeping on reed islands, offering rituals to Pachamama, we discover humility: nothing belongs to us — we belong to the earth and the cosmos.
This retreat is an initiation: from the forest that generates, to the mountain that illuminates, to the water that reveals. In Peru, every step is a mirror — the challenge is not just to know a country, but to recognise yourself through it.

Four Ways This Journey Changes You?
Walk with Pachamama
August is the Andean month of offerings — ritual, community and deep seasonal wisdom open pathways of belonging that modern life rarely offers.
Embodied Resilience
We use altitude and ground as teachers — through adapted yoga and breathwork you build practical tools to stay present under pressure.
Ancestral Connection
Direct encounters with Andean cosmology and shamanic practices reweave a sense of kinship with the land and your own inner ancestry.
Lasting Integration
This is structured for transformation, not tourism - practices, ritual and daily mentoring give you durable skills you can bring home.
This retreat is for anyone who:
seeks a guided spiritual passage — not a sightseeing tour.
travel solo (or crave community) and want a small, like-minded circle at a similar level of awareness to practice, share—and laugh—with.
welcome purposeful adventure as fuel for growth and joy.
need space: silence, wide horizons, unhurried time to breathe, journal, and simply be.
want to return with more energy, clarity and inner freedom and value clear logistics with trusted, locally run stays.
teach yoga or want to deepen the practice while earning 20h YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education).
cares about impact — fair exchange with local communities and travel that honours Pachamama.
wants lifelong connections — friendships and a circle that continue after we land.

Meet the Hosts
Cristina Dionísio
Retreat Host & Guide I Founder of Cristina Dionísio Yoga
After two decades in the corporate world, my body began saying what my heart had long known: this wasn’t the life I was meant to live. Burnout, pressure, anxiety — it all reached a breaking point. That’s when yoga became more than a practice for me. It became a path.
Since my mid-30s, I’ve been walking this path through healing, reinvention, and the joy of living with purpose. And now, I share it with others through retreats, online programs, and weekly classes that bring together my biggest passions: yoga as a way of living, and my deep love for travel, nature, people, culture, and food.
My retreats aren’t escapes. They’re invitations. To pause, to breathe, and to start living in a way that reflects who you are becoming - journeys not just to beautiful places, but into presence, silence, and yourself.
