✅ Passport – Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date and has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.
✅ Visa – Most nationalities require a visa to enter Mozambique. You can usually apply for an e-visa online or obtain a visa on arrival at the airport in Vilankulos. Always check the latest requirements with the Mozambican consulate or official government website before you travel.
✅ Flight Tickets – Book your flights to Vilankulos (VNX) in advance. Connections are often via Maputo or Johannesburg, so securing tickets early will give you better options and prices.

✅ Travel Insurance – Strongly recommended! Make sure it covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and unexpected delays. Medical care in Mozambique may require upfront payment, so international coverage is essential.
✅ Vaccinations & Health Precautions – No mandatory vaccines for entry, but commonly recommended are Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and ensuring routine vaccinations are up to date. Depending on your itinerary, some doctors may also suggest Hepatitis B, Rabies, and Cholera.
💊 Malaria Prevention – Mozambique is a malaria-risk area, so consult your doctor about prophylaxis and take precautions against mosquito bites.✅ Medications – Bring enough of your prescription medicine for the whole trip in original packaging. A small first-aid kit with essentials (pain relievers, stomach relief, electrolytes, antiseptic, plasters) is highly recommended, as pharmacies may have limited options.
